Jack is known for deciding the time has come for a change. His general philosophy is, if we don't get a couple things better, we're going to have a couple drivers miss out on the Chase.
If the driver thinks that Roush Racing is exactly the same as four other deals in the garage, and 'I just need to go get the high bidder,' that's probably not the right driver for us.
The key is really getting those units to work together. Like the 2 and the 12 (teams) oil and water, right? But if the 2 and the 12 were compatible in crew chief and driver and all that, then that's all it would take.
There can't be any activity engaged in by a driver that the general community would believe negatively impacts on the brand or on the team or on the company.
Our experience is the drivers know what they want and why they want it. I don't think having someone between you and the owner helps.
