There are only so many people who will watch, or take up the game. Even if he won 10 Masters, you're not going to see a 30 percent increase.
The public is a lot more forgiving of people with true problems. But you've got to endear yourself to the public, appear more genuinely apologetic.
You hate to see a superstar go beyond that point where he should. I have such a positive memory, that's my concern. If people start talking about how he shouldn't be playing, it would devalue his marketability.
