For most of the race (Murphy) was fourth or fifth. He broke out the last half-mile and passed three runners. Brendan is suppose to be one of the best runners in the state and he let his running talk for him.
When I saw Brendan come over the hill in first place, I thought the two other runners who had been with him went the wrong way or something. He was all alone.
It was a typical Brendan Murphy race. He passed four or five runners in the last straight-away. He's still not convinced he can run with the leaders.
