Josh is really tough, he works hard on his game and it is really starting to show.
I was happy with the way they played Wednesday night. I told them at five minutes they were coming out whether they lost the lead or not. Tonight I thought they played a lot better. We are getting there slowly but surely.
That woke us up. We did not play well in the first half of the Hoban game.
We played well and just took them out of it. We've been playing great defense ever since the Hoban game.
We came out and played excellent zone defense. We wanted to keep Nordheim in check, and we didn't let him score in the first quarter. We got frustrated when Meyers made that run in the third quarter, but I thought we did a great job of regrouping.
We've just been trying to get healthy. We played well tonight. They're no selfish kids on our team they all look out for each other.
When you play and compete, you get everybody's best effort. We get a little bit extra.
Toward the end of the game it was down to six points, we were getting stops but we weren't getting anything.
Towards the end of the game, it was a six-point game and we were making stops and getting nothing.
That's what makes a champion, the guys who do the little things.
They took it to us. They played a great game, they played like champions, they deserved it.
This is the hardest working team because each year you raise the bar and each year you have to come back to defend it. Not that when you compete you don't get everybody's best shot, but we get a little bit extra.
It's one game at a time, a one-game season.
I've done it all my life. That's the way it was presented to me and that's the way it should stay.
It was a great run. We got beat by a great shooting team. I'm very proud of our team and our school. What these guys accomplished is just great for the entire community.
I try to take it one game at a time. We just go about our business. The next game up is 32 minutes and we just prepare for that.
His freshman year, people told me Josh wasn't going to amount to anything. That motivated me and him.
He accepted the role as leader of the team.
