The second half we executed our offenses beautifully. They were mixing it up zone and man (on defense). But we were taking the high-percentage shot in the second half.

Offensively, the team was very patient. Made good decisions. We played hard. We played smart. And we had fun. That was a big game for us.

I've got the best assistants in the world with Howard (Jones) and Lacy Johnson. When she says something the kids really listen. She said it's fundamental you've got to have fun, and you've got to bring your mental game. If they play hard and play smart, they're going to have fun. If we do that, I know I'm going to have a good time.

They did a lot better job at the free-throw line. In big games at this time, it's going to come down to free throws. We did better at the line than we did yesterday. We shoot free throws a lot. Basketball is mental you have to go up, stay focused and nail it.

I'm thankful because in all honesty, we haven't had a long time off. We had four days. They worked hard those days, and then we had this. These last four games gave us an opportunity to get back in our offense and defense and get ready to go.

I just feel like it's going to be a good game. Both teams are going to be real hungry. (Adams) is big, strong and athletic. They're in a lot of ways similar to (Columbia) with their guard play and inside game. AC may not be be there height-wise, but they may be stronger.

The girls played a beautiful game together. Our defensive unit was probably the best it played as a team all season.
