I thought we played excellent defense in the first half and that really set the tone. We shot the ball extremely well and did a good job on the boards. I was proud of our guys for giving a strong effort for four quarters.
I think any time you shoot the ball really well, it hides a lot of mistakes. I think we did a nice job of executing and were very unselfish with the ball. When you do that, good things happen.
We shot a very high percentage this year and we're hoping to build on that. If we take care of the ball and get good shots, we will have a good chance. That's been a huge key to our success this year.
We did a really good job in our zone offense and knocked down a lot of big shots. We also dominated the glass, which I thought was the biggest key.
Eric had a tremendous offensive season. Offensively, he's as good as anyone who's ever played here. We felt he could score, and we had some kids who were very unselfish and got him the ball in good scoring position.
Eric did a lot of good things, but you have to credit his teammates for finding him underneath the basket. I thought we played good team basketball from start to finish for the third straight game.
They are a very good basketball team and we're going to have our hands full. We're going to continue to work hard and we're not going to back down from them.
It was a gutsy effort by our kids, especially since it was our second game in two nights. (Madison) had some players who gave us problems, but we did a good job adjusting.
