I always ask for 100% effort, and that's what I got out of my players on Monday.
I was a bit fed up because they wouldn't move the game. In a perverse sort of way that might have been what gave us impetus. I said to the players that nobody gives us anything, and we had to go out and prove ourselves. It gave us a siege mentality.
That was our third away game in 11 days so I decided to rotate the team. Maybe by giving some players a breather it worked because we then went on to win our next four games.
At the moment we are asking people to play in strange positions, but the players deserve great credit for coping with that.
They're not frightened of putting their foot in if they have to. But they're world-class players - top, top players.
