(Mt. Pleasant) came out hard and I think we took them a little for granted in the beginning. We improved as the game went on and are fortunate to come away with the win. Both teams played very well.
I give credit to Dow for putting the pressure on us. The last 20 minutes, we just forced everything instead of taking our time.
If we score that, it sets the tone of the game. We just never got it. We never got that break that went in our favor. That's just the way it goes. It was a good opportunity and we didn't get it.
We never really got any good shots on goal. We never took them. We played reasonably well ... but it wasn't one of our better games.
We were very close, a lot of years. We worked our way through a lot of problems, and we could've worked our way through this one. We could've made a comeback.
Colin comes in to solve a goalkeeping problem as Neil Bennett has decided to go back south. My assistant, Jimmy Bone, knows Colin well from his time working with him at County last season. I have admired Mark for some time. He is a good player and has pace.
Its growing and improving and getting better every year, ... I think it's the best place there is.
I hope this result kick starts our season.
I had Harry here for a long time and that will make it interesting tomorrow. He is intelligent and experienced and has done well at Annan.
