Early season bravery has caused some of the most traumatic injuries I've seen in 21 years in the ski business. Injuries in the first part of the season occur at both ends of the spectrum. Beginners often get hurt because they don't know how to fall or they are in over their heads. Better riders get hurt because they are over confident and push their limits to far.

The season turned out really well. Considering we were closed for a week during the holidays and it rained most of December.

It just isn't a good idea for us to run at full power until the (power company) gives the area the go-ahead. So far, we don't know when that's going to be.
