We only have three or four places I'm aware of in the Triangle area that have digital mammography available right now. I know it's at UNC, Duke and Alamance in Burlington, for example.
With film, what you see is what you get and you can't manipulate the data to try to see it a little better.
It's not a magic bullet, but this does find more of the cancers that kill women in these groups.
These are cancers that kill women and (many) were missed on film.
