It really didn't factor into my decision, but now that I've made it, it's one of the rewards. It's going to feel good to start over as a freshman. I can't wait for that. It's great to be in the spotlight, but there it's a whole new level, and you have to work that much harder.
Getting to the state tournament was what we were working for. Our goal was never the streak; it was to win the state championship. Playing those teams definitely made us better, and that's why coach (Bob Vaughan) scheduled those games.
This is the icing on the cake to a career I could only dream of.
It was a special moment for me, but it wasn't a goal of mine by any stretch. I was given a great situation and have played on some great teams.
I set a goal when I was a tenth grader and to achieve it is amazing.
