She's just a very mature athlete in terms of knowing when it's time to be serious and knowing when to start preparing early. Some people just go up and try to run.

Having a field person that doesn't always come to practice isn't as bad as a runner because you really have to be in shape. Field events, there's really no cardiovascular, it's more about skills.
