More than anything, I'm grateful that I got the opportunity again. It made all the hard work and everything I put in over the last two years pay off.
That was probably the least amount of curveballs I've thrown in my entire career. I had a pretty good cutter today and I was locating my fastball pretty well, so I stayed with that all day.

It was a good day. My fastball I was able to locate and keep them off-balance.
It will be longer than that, though. I haven't thrown off a mound for more than a week, so it will take a little bit to build back up.

If I stunk after a month, I was going to go home and be perfectly happy with my career and live the rest of my life as a dad.
