He was very supportive, no matter what you decided to do, even if he didn't agree.
He would always talk about the beach raids in the Philippines and the Solomons. He'd tell how they would drop off the Marines, then go back later to pick them up. Sometimes the Marines would be there, and other times they would be met by the Japanese.
He loved his job. Even after he retired, he kept spreadsheets with all his household bills.
