I think it's an important step forward for women's sport. The Open really is now truly open. I think the R&A has listened to what people think and I'm very pleased they are changing the rules.
It's time for the game to take bold steps toward better governance, and a Europe-wide solution is the only answer. There needs to be a control of the excesses that are out there and further use of football in a wider social context.
