The toughest game to win in the playoffs is your first home game. And I'm not sure we even deserved to win the game. But it's a huge win, because every win at this time of the year is big. To draw first blood is really important for us.
We knew they were going to come at us hard, and you have to be able to defend leads at this time of the season. We didn't do that, but Kirby did a great job to score what ended up being the game-winning goal.
There's time for things to happen, still lots of hockey left to play. But there's a fine line between confidence and arrogance, and we've been able to walk that line quite well.
When this opportunity presented itself, there was no hesitation. I knew this was what I wanted to do. I had a great job where I was, but it was time for a new challenge. It was easy to leave. I jumped at the chance.
