He's a great shooter and we wanted to make him work for everything. So we always had fresh guys on him - Justin, Sammy Villegas, Ridley Johnson, Jonathan Amos, probably some others, too. They did a good job. I thought we got most of the loose balls and hustle points.
I liked the way he was shooting mostly uncontested 3s. Rarely did he have a hand in his face. It helps when we can penetrate well, get the ball in the post and then get a good inside-outside passing game going.
Tino just keeps getting better and better. He's getting the ball in good position and using his quickness to the basket. He's getting a lot of attention inside and when the defense has an edge, he does a good job of kicking it back out to give somebody an open jump shot.
We wanted to use all of it, to shoot the ball with very little time left so that the worst thing that could happen was overtime.
He's been taking what the defense is giving him, and it's helped him that we're getting the ball into the post and swinging the ball. If we can continue to play that way, it's really going to help him.
