Life is not fair. You're one game away from a championship one year, the next year they let him go somewhere else. His coaching didn't change. You never want to be where you've proved you can win but there are still questions.
It doesn't surprise me, because this is a league that has a short memory.
It's kind of like a double edge. You want to dedicate yourself to doing what you do football-wise, to make sure that you can continue, but if you're trying to create a life outside of football, that takes time also. The tough part is figuring out the balance.
The N.F.L. has been a steppingstone for me. A true blessing, giving me a true understanding of what it's all about, and I'm very, very, very appreciative, and I'm really, really excited about life afterward.
