My goal is to have this be the first annual. And we're claiming it as the inaugural year, and we're giving away a lot of awards.

We have a lot of schools coming out, which means a lot of kids. So far, we have 800 students signed up to compete. It would be great for all those athletes that the cheer squads support all year round to come out and support their spirit squads on Saturday.

Producing a competition for these squads will showcase their accomplishments and provide them with a chance to compete against schools throughout Nevada.

This has been in the planning stages for five years. The coaches' association has become very active, and they are all very anxious to see it happen. This is a very exciting year for Nevada and for the squads. You can tell they are excited to be here.
