That doesn't surprise me. We have been scoring quicker this year, and our improved passing game leads to short drives.
Not playing with Jon McLaughlin made a huge difference. We found out, even without the state's leading rusher, that we can continue to play at a high level. We found out in those two games that we do have other kids that can step up and be playmakers whenever possible.
We're pretty good, and we were very focused heading into last week. We've got a pretty good offense and we're really ready to play. Our kids didn't miss a beat last week and we haven't in four of the five games this season.
We've prepared the same as we have every week. We just try to get better with each game. The more big games you play in, the more it helps when you get in front of those big crowds under those bright lights.
